    Dr. Robert Sunderman -Owner

    Dr. Sunderman is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed clinical externships throughout Ohio, focusing on the diagnosing and treatment of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and pediatric eye care. Dr. Sunderman earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Dayton where he majored in pre-med.

    Dr. Sunderman resides in Southgate with his wife Rachel and baby daughter Scarlett. You may catch him playing golf, watching sports, and volunteering in the community in his free time.

    Dr. Tyler Dowdall -Owner

    Dr. Dowdall is a proud buckeye alum, graduating from The Ohio State University for both his undergraduate and doctorate degree. Dr. Dowdall completed externships at the Southern Arizona VA and the Case Western University Department of Ophthalmology in Cleveland, Ohio.

    In his free time Dr. Dowdall enjoys traveling with his wife, Maggie, watching football, and spending time with friends and family.

    Dr. Richard Schuck -Associate

    Dr. Schuck is a graduate of Indiana University for both his Optometry and undergraduate degree. He has been in practice in Northern Kentucky since 1971. He has played a pivotal role in expanding scope of practice in Kentucky and is an active member in the KOA.

    In his free time, you can find Dr. Schuck playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He currently works on Wednesdays and Thursdays, allowing him to spend more time with his family.

    A comprehensive eye exam includes a refraction and full eye health assessment. This includes an updated glasses prescription and diagnosis and treatment plan for any eye conditions. Our doctors recommend a comprehensive eye exam annually, as we believe that disease prevention is key to a long healthy life.

Our optical department offers a wide variety of designer frames such as Oliver Peoples, Michael Kors, Coach, Oakley, Ray Ban, Longchamp, Silhouette, Maui Jim and many more. Custom Essilor lenses are available to fit all lifestyles and price ranges for the perfect prescription glasses and sunglasses. Outside prescriptions are welcomed to be professionally fitted as well.

    Our doctors have extensive education and background in treating and managing eye conditions and diseases. We manage chronic conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy as well as acute conditions like eye infections and corneal abrasions.

    At our office we have the latest advancements in ophthalmic equipment. We offer wide field retinal imaging (Optos), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Humphrey Visual Field testing, and corneal topography. Your eyes are in safe hands with us.

    We fit soft contact lenses, Rigid Gas Permeable lenses (RGPs), and Hybrid specialty lenses. Soft lenses include toric and multifocal fits in both daily disposable and monthly replacement schedules. We also offer soft contact lenses for Myopia control management as well. Ask your doctor what options will work best for you!
