Comprehensive Eye Exams

Your eyes are a window into your overall wellbeing. Our comprehensive exams provide both an accurate update to your prescription and a thorough diagnostic evaluation of your eye health. Because we view prevention as a vital part of a vibrant life, our doctors recommend a yearly visit to protect your sight and provide peace of mind for years to come.

Diabetic Eye Exams

For our patients managing diabetes, we provide comprehensive diabetic eye exams focused on the early detection of sight-threatening complications. Because diabetes can impact various parts of the eye—potentially leading to diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, cataracts, or glaucoma—we perform a detailed assessment of your retinal health and intraocular pressure. These specialized exams allow us to identify subtle changes in blood vessels or nerve health long before you notice vision loss, ensuring timely intervention and the long-term preservation of your sight.

Pediatric and Kindergarten Exams

Starting at age 3, our pediatric exams are designed to be thorough yet kid-friendly. We perform a full prescription assessment to check for refractive errors and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and working together. This is paired with a comprehensive eye health exam, where we carefully inspect both the internal and external structures of the eye to ensure healthy development. By using shapes instead of letters and engaging, age-appropriate techniques, we make sure your child’s vision is on track in a comfortable, stress-free environment.

Plaquenil Testing

For patients taking Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine), we provide specialized screening to protect against retinal toxicity. Our protocol follows the latest AAO guidelines, utilizing 10-2 Visual Field testing to detect subtle functional changes in your central vision and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to monitor the structural integrity of the macula. By combining these advanced diagnostic tools, we can identify early signs of "macular toxicity" long before they affect your sight, ensuring your medication remains safe for your long-term ocular health.
